Praise for Rob's books...
Reviews for PSI/Net
by Billy Dee Williams and Rob MacGregor
Tor, June 1999
"PSI/Net is fantastic storytelling, literally mind-blowing,
yet grounded in science. A can't-put-down thriller that leaves you thinking
you can't wait for more."
--Phil DeGuere, producer of The Twilight Zone
and Simon and Simon
"An intriguing and chilling page-turner of an exposé guaranteed
to satisfy readers. X-Files and Twilight Zone fans will
eat it up."
--Gary Goshgarian, author of Stone Circle
"PSI/Net makes psychic warfare fascinating and terrifying. It also
gets a grip on you and doesn't let go. It's exciting in every respect,
and certainly one of the most original and relentless thrillers in
years."
--Ed Gorman, Mystery Scene
"This masterful thriller weaves together all the
strands of what really goes on in the world of psychic espionage.
Take it from one who was there, Williams and McGregor have touched
a nerve. I found myself projecting back into the dark world of the
CIA's psychic espionage program with all its trimmings. This book
is all too close to the reality of the world it portrays. Chilling...
and more real than you can possibly imagine. I loved it."
-–David Morehouse, author of Psychic Warrior
"A high-tech thriller with a paranormal edge,
set against an all-too-real backdrop of politics and radical militia
terrorism. It is well-written, suspenseful, and engaging."
-– Kevin J. Anderson, New York Times
bestselling author of Star Wars Jedi Academy Trilogy
"The authors have done their homework for this fast-paced, action
filled book which pits good against evil, the dark side of human nature
against the light. . . . an exciting read that leaves you breathless."
-– Angela Thompson Smith, author of
Remote Perceptions: OBEs, Remote Viewing and Other Normal Abilities
.
"Pages of nerve-rattling adrenalin, this is the
thriller you can't put down. PSI/Net proves there's no place left
to hide, not even in your mind."
-–Hilary Hemingway, author of Dreamchild
.
"A nuclear weapon is on its way to Washington
DC, a new American revolution hovers on the horizon, and America's
president believes he's made contact with an alien race. Calloway,
America's best remote viewer and psychic knows there's something
terribly wrong and he's out to prove it. But someone or something
wants to stop him. With details and descriptions of remote viewing
that are surprisingly similar to real events, Billy Dee Williams
and Rob MacGregor present a chilling vision that is closer to truth
than one might think."
--Joseph McMoneagle, Remote Viewer #001,
Project Stargate author of Mind Trek

Reviews for HAWK MOON
*MACGREGOR, Rob. HAWK MOON. (Simon & Schuster)
Grade 7 & Up
A well-written, fast-moving murder mystery set in contemporary
Aspen, CO. Sixteen-year-old Will Lansa is a football hero in the
throes of discovering more about his Hopi heritage as begun in
PROPHECY ROCK (Simon & Schuster), 1995).
He is also the last person known to have seen his girlfriend,
Myra, alive. No body has been discovered, but Will finds himself
at the center of the investigation. Interesting, believable teen
and adult characters and fast- paced action make this novel a
bridge to adult murder mysteries. The resemblance to Tony Hillerman's
books is great, not just because Will's father is a policeman
on the reservation (in this case the Hopi reservation), but also
in the heightened mood, respectful tone, and elegant pace that
smoothly integrate matters of culture, religion, and contemporary
life in the western United States. Of special interest here, too,
is the adept portrayal of the school computer-lab milieu, integrating
a sub-plot about e-mail, computer ethics, and the self-described
computer nerds who inhabit this e-world. One of them, a girl named
Corey is reminiscent of Robert Cormier's "Avenger" in WE ALL
FALL DOWN (Dell, 1993) in her secret, impassioned adoration
of the protagonist, but here she becomes a key, positive player
in the resolution. While the identity of the murderer may not
be a big surprise, getting there is definitely half the fun.
